WHAT MATTERS.

Orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days. Eligible Small and Standard parcels ship within Canada for a $30 CAD flat rate. Contact us for an oversize or international shipping quote; checkout for those orders is not yet available.

Checkout will only be available where an eligible shipping service and rate are configured. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Buyers are responsible for destination-country duties, import taxes, brokerage charges or customs delays unless checkout states otherwise.

Local pickup is available in the Kenora and Winnipeg areas. Winnipeg pickup is available on weekends. The Hive has no physical storefront. Exact pickup location, timing and instructions are arranged privately after purchase and are not published online.

All purchases are final sale. Returns or exchanges are not accepted for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or unwanted gifts. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including where an item has been materially misrepresented.

If an order arrives damaged, contact The Hive promptly and retain the item, shipping carton, label and all packing materials. Photographs may be requested. Resolution will be assessed case by case based on the item’s condition, available evidence and the shipping carrier’s insurance or claims process. Do not discard packaging before the claim is resolved.

A pre-order is for an item that is not yet in The Hive’s possession. The full item price, applicable tax and any displayed delivery charge are paid at checkout. Each pre-order listing will identify its expected arrival or delivery window and the quantity available to reserve. Estimated dates may change; The Hive will contact affected buyers if there is a material delay.

A paid pre-order is final sale for change-of-mind purposes, with no voluntary cancellation or refund. If The Hive cannot obtain the item, we will cancel the unfulfilled pre-order and refund the amount paid for it. This policy does not limit cancellation, refund or other rights provided by applicable law, including rights related to late delivery or an item that is materially different from its description.

Available pre-order offers are listed on our Pre-orders page. A product marked Coming Soon is not a pre-order and cannot be purchased until a specific pre-order offer is enabled.

Prices are displayed and charged in Canadian dollars unless checkout expressly offers another currency. Your card provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees.

Applicable GST/HST is added at checkout based on the delivery or pickup province and shown before payment. Product prices, inventory and shipping quotations remain subject to correction before an order is accepted.

Eligible First Nations customers may request tax relief before purchasing. For full GST/HST relief on goods purchased from The Hive, the goods generally must be delivered or shipped to a reserve by The Hive or our shipping carrier, and the required status documentation and proof of delivery must be retained. A status card alone does not make every purchase tax exempt. Off-reserve pickup followed by the customer transporting the goods to a reserve generally does not qualify for full GST/HST relief.

Please contact The Hive before placing or paying for your order. Include each item’s SKU/product ID (shown on its listing), item name, requested quantity, and the proposed delivery address and reserve name. If you cannot find the SKU, include the item name or listing link. We will review the request, explain what documentation is needed and arrange payment with the applicable tax treatment. Please wait for our instructions before sending a status-card image or other identification. Tax exemption requests are handled directly with The Hive, rather than through regular checkout.

Qualifying off-reserve purchases in Ontario may instead be eligible for the separate rebate of the 8% Ontario portion of HST, leaving the 5% federal portion payable. Different verification rules apply to online purchases and in-person purchases; contact us before arranging pickup. Off-reserve Winnipeg pickup generally remains subject to GST and applicable Manitoba RST. Any relief is subject to the applicable federal and provincial rules and verification of the purchase and delivery arrangements.

The Hive collects only the customer information reasonably needed to process orders, prevent fraud, arrange pickup or delivery, provide support, maintain transaction records and meet legal obligations. Information may be shared with Square, shipping carriers and other service providers only as needed for those purposes.

Payments are processed through Square, which handles payment-card details under its own privacy and security terms. The Hive does not sell customer information. Records are retained only as reasonably required for order support, accounting, legal and security purposes, then securely deleted or destroyed when no longer needed.
